Emily Moldy is an up-and-coming folk-soul singer/songwriter from San Diego, CA who now calls the Bay Area home. In 2010, 21 year old Emily Moldy released her first EP called "E is for Eleven" which she recorded during her time studying activism-through-art at UC Santa Cruz. Emily has a life-long investment in a few things, including: family, manifesting dreams into reality, the sharing of knowledge and resources, social equality, and music. She and her Oakland-based band have been playing throughout the larger Bay Area for about a year now, but are breaking into the 2012 music scene with an electric energy and a pop-soul sound that uses folk-song formulas to explain Life and its humorous mysteries. The band was formed at Stanford University in late September 2009 by keyboardist Chris Beachy and guitarist Charlie Glick; very soon the lineup included Dan Barden
stein bangin' at them drums and Ella Cooley up front on the lead vocals. In late January of '09, David Kettler, one of Charlie's friends from Delaware, began to slap basses with Sea People.
